By now you should have at least four layers od tissue on your wings. I forgot to add in the first part that when making the wire for make sure to leave about an inch or two of excess wire.
step one
Use the excess wire and twist the top and bottom wing together . Do this for both sides of the wings . Then take those two sides and twist them together. Don't worry about bits of wire poking out.
Step 2 - I use my jewelry pliers to try and wrap those poky bits around as much as I can.. then I simply snip them of
Step three- Now your going to clean up any big wrinkles and ruff edged on the wings. Tear tissue into small pieces. Coat one side of the wing and gently tap down these pieces. Leave a little to wrap around to the other side . let that side dry and flip the wings and do the other side.
step four- Once thats done coat both sides with more medium and leave it to dry.
A few notes - the larger the wings the more layers you'll need to do. Also if you make really large wings it might help to make wire veins . That way the tissue has a sort of bridge to support it in the larger spaces.
I'm going to go paint them and take pics , So I'll be back
