I'm making jewelry again. It's strange how after a class or trip it takes me a week or so to get back into the grove of making jewelry. I guess I have to recharge so to speak . And recharge I have !
I want to start bring in influences from other cultures to my jewelry. Particularly India , the colors alone make me drool . So I created this necklace. 
Granted it's not that colorful but I have plans for another one.
I also keep getting into ribbon flowers so we'll see where that goes. I bought a book.. but I still haven't really had any time to try it.

miss me ,miss me now you gotta kiss me !
Spring is here ! So I've been a bit busy trying to get my garden to grow. One day it'll be amazing.. just not right now.
Artfest was a blast ! I took three days with Kieth LoBue and I swear I've never taken so many notes in my life ! Eight pages worth ! I was so clueless about so much. Taking his class also really made me evaluate my jewelry style and I learned some things.
I learned that while I love his work I tend to go for a more esthetically light look to my jewelry . It's why I can't really get into even felt jewelry. Because while it is very light it tends to have a visually heavy look to it. I also learned that what ever I'm "into"at the moment really affects my choices. Right now i'm into miniatures and building my first dollhouse. So I of course brought lots of tiny things. I'm definitely going to have to explore this more.
This is what I made in class
As you can tell I really fell in love with the whole rebar or bailing wire . It's just so much fun to use ! And super cheap ! Today I started working on a chain for the hand piece as well as a bracelet.
both the chain and bracelet use the same shapes and repeats. Only the bracelet is made from a thinner picture hanging wire.
Latter this month I'll see if I can't whip up a simple rebar wire bracelet tutorial .
