I'm so tired of finding awesome indie fashion designers only to realize that they either don't do custom sizing or their sizing runs too small. So what's a curvy girl to do ? Well make it myself of course ! i'm sure i've mentioned that my sewing skills are shall we say ,BAD . But I shall still give it a go ! up first is a skirt . As soon as it loks a bit more presentable I'll post pics
As a one time fatgirl myself, I still do large ladies clothes - my daughter's ladyfriend is a big lady and I've made her everything from frilly skirts to crushed velvet medieval-type gowns...she's UK size 22 US 18 (I think) and we just choose a pattern if one's needed and I size it up if necessary. Just because you're big definitely does not mean you can't wear clothes to reflect your personality. I was lucky - lost my weight because my dicky thyroid got fixed, but I love improvising with bits and pieces of fabric almost as much as I enjoy my jewellery. Always open to offers, modest charge etc!
Just half way thru a steampunk choker in black and red, as I've some gorgeous brass watches to make use of (sigh)
Love your site.
